NEXT STEPS CLASS

Our Pastor, Rob Mullins, would like to invite new members and visitors to enjoy a free light lunch immediately after the service on September 30th while he shares little more about our history, philosophy, and vision for ministry. NEXT STEPS provides an opportunity for you to learn more about the core values and the vision of Crossroads. This is not a mandatory class for membership, but is highly recommended. We want you to be secure in your faith, comfortable with your church family, and confident in the vision we have been given here at Crossroads.

Please Register: We ask that you register so that we can make adequate preparations. You may register online or at the Welcome desk in the Narthex. Childcare through age 12 is available by request. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 901-309-7777.

A scheduled Special Family Conference to be held at the conclusion of the service on September 16.

The membership will be asked to affirm a motion presented on September 2 to increase the parking lot expansion funding by $170,000 from available cash on hand.  This additional funding will allow:

  • Additional site improvement with dirt work. Cost saving pre-work while preparing for the expected future building expansion.  This will also provide an improved green space for use in the interim of the project.
  • Repair and relocation of the sewer line in preparation of the future building expansion.
  • Required landscaping by Shelby County code.
  • General price increases from original estimate time frame due to economy and demand.

A member of the church staff, Finance Ministry Team, or Building Team will be available to accept questions today after the service and again on Wednesday, September 12, at 5:45 pm.

Thank You

A note of appreciation was received from Ruth Ann Shelton thanking the Crossroads family for the care and love showered on her and her family during Rusty’s illness and recent home going. In addition to her appreciation for the many meals, visits, cards, calls, texts, and beautiful flowers, she also extends her appreciation to the Crossroads Runners: Van Gray, Bobby Hawks, Roger Ray, and Mike Clark for their help; to the Crossroads Staff; and to Ted Minor’s Sunday School Class.
