A Kids’ Musical for Such a Time as This Written & Created by Kathie Hill
WEDNESDAY EVENINGS beginning June 16
Today we have the freedom to pray in public, attend church, or witness to others. Initially, Queen Esther kept her faith a secret in the pagan Persian court, but that dramatically changed when she risked her life to plead for the salvation of her people. In this musical, kids learn the value of a living faith as they create a first-hand account of the events in Queen Esther’s life. Zerox, a fictional scribe, tells the story of Esther becoming queen, God’s intervention in Haman’s plot, and Mordecai’s appointment as the king’s adviser. As Zerox tells the story, she experiences the testimony of Esther and develops her own faith in God. Songs and witty dialogue help children understand the sovereignty of God and the confidence we can have in trusting Him with the greatest of problems by displaying our own Esther-Ordinary Faith!
Join Crossroads Children’s summer musical program, SWAT (Sharing Worship, Affirming Truth) through the summer every Wednesday night at 6:00pm starting June 16th for those who have finished Kindergarten – 6th grade!
