This Week at Crossroads: November 11-17





Filled box(es) must returned before Wednesday, November 14. If you prefer to donate items rather than filling a box, we will accept loose items that can fit inside of a shoebox. If possible, we ask that you also include $9 to cover shipping. If you’d like to make a donation to help cover the cost of shipping the boxes, you can make a donation to the church and designate Operation Shoebox on your envelope.




The Annual Crossroads Family Thanksgiving dinner will be catered by Raven and Lily Restaurant with turkey and all the fixings. Cost: Due to the expanded Thanksgiving menu all meals are $5 (max of $20 per family). Dinner begins at 4:45 PM, with Awana, Youth, Twenties Bible Study, Adult Bible studies, and Prayer Meeting beginning at 6:00 PM. Adult Choir practice begins at 7:00 PM.


CHILDCARE REGISTRATION for December 15th Adult Sunday School Class Parties.

Childcare for children birth – 6th Grade will be available for those attending Sunday School Class parties on Friday evening, December 15. Your children must be registered if you plan to use CBC childcare Cost: $5 per child or a maximum of $20 per family. Register online at (use the “Register” tab). Registration will close December 2 at midnight.



We are expecting to hold Special Family Conferences on November 18 and Novemebr 25 at the end of the worship service.  These will be held to accommodate a needed church affirmation of possible building and staffing needs.



 The Fall Awana Program continues Wednesday at 6:00 PM. This week is the Packing Party for the Operation Christmas Child shoeobxes. Remember to bring Operation Christmas Child items.



Join us at the Memphis Union Mission, 383 Poplar, Thursday, November 15, as we serve the many homeless men who will be there that night. We’ll provide a meal and a chapel service. If you can help us serve food, please arrive by 4:45 PM. If you can join us for the chapel service, please arrive by 6:00 PM. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity!

Mission Opportunity. Crossroads has been invited to help with an IMB hosted homeschool conference for all IMB missionary children. The goal is to help these children with their education needs, as many of their families are serving in remote or difficult places where getting a complete education isn’t always easy.  They are looking for 10 people to help with the conference in Rockville, VA, May 5-11, 2019. Volunteers will help with proctoring achievement tests in the morning and then hosting a skills class in the afternoon.  If you are interested in helping, please see Andrew McKinney or email him at



Children’s Choir. The Crossroads Children’s Choir (grades K-6th) will rehearse Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM.

Youth Choir. The Crossroads Youth Choir (grades 7-12 will rehearse Sunday at 4:00 PM in room S-124. Mr. Greg Sims directs the choir which will be singing during various times.

The Crossroads Orchestra to present Sounds of the Season. Mark your calendar and plan to join us for an evening of instrumental music as our very own CBC Orchestra presents Sounds of the Season on Sunday, December 2 at 6:00 PM. You don’t want to miss this special evening of worship through music! Invite a friend.
