This Week at Crossroads: December 23 – 29

 THIS WEEK AT CROSSROADS

CHRISTMAS EVE EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE TONIGHT, Sunday, December 23, 5:00PM.

Bring your whole family for this special time of fellowship, Christmas carols, taking the Lord’s Supper together, and celebrating the Lord’s birth with a candlelight service as we pause to focus our thoughts on the true meaning of Christmas.

FAMILY WEDNESDAYS

Family Wednesday Activities will resume January 9. There will not be any Crossroads Family Wednesday activities this week due to the Christmas Break.

In January, the Wednesday meal will cost $5 for everyone with a cap of $20 per family.

SECOND SERVICE to begin January 6, 8:00 AM

During the balcony construction we will lose about 200 seats in the Sanctuary. To provide additional space, we will add an 8:00 AM service. Childcare will not be available during that service, so we are asking the adults without young children to attend the early service if possible. During the construction, Sunday School will meet from 9:30 -10:15 AM.

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

A new ministry, Circle of Friends, beginning in January 2019 will honor widows and single ladies (age 50 and older) during their birth month with a luncheon. If you are interested in serving as a hostess or co-hostess, please call Ann Baumgartner at 901-853-4861.

FILL A “BOTTLE FOR LIFE”

“Bottles for Life” is a special project sponsored by Life Choices of Memphis. Your donation will help women who find themselves in the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy by providing testing and parenting classes, as well as post-abortive counseling free of charge. Life Choices is also a licensed adoption agency and receives no federal funding. Fill a bottle with spare change, cash, or a check (make payable to Life Choices), and return it to the Narthex on or before January 27th. Bottles will available in the Narthex beginning January 6.
