REACHING OUT TO OUR COUNTRY

Luke records for us Jesus’ last words to His disciples  when he writes, But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8 NKJV).  This verse in essence drives our approach to missions. Following this model for missions, we seek to reach our city, our nation, and our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

OUR NATIONAL MISSIONS/OUTREACH FOCUS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING MINISTRIES:

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering® changes lives forever by empowering North American missionaries to bring the gospel to the lost. With over 269 million lost people, North America and its major cities are some of the most spiritually dark places in the world.  Three out of 4 people in the United States and Canada are lost and do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. CBC contributes to this offering to help equip missionaries and reach every lost person in the United States and Canada.

Mike Curry and Light Ministries

After over thirty years of student and family focused ministry in the U.S., Mike is the founder and president of Light Ministries, Inc. Mike’s years of experience serving local church staffs along with over 30 years of itinerant and missionary experience brings unique insight to a wide variety of ministry venues.  Leadership, men’s conferences, missions, marriage, spiritual warfare are just a few of the areas Mike’s ministry has found effectiveness in the local church conference setting  These are not “talks”… they are not “comfortable” for today’s spoiled seeker-sensitive churches, but they are grace-soaked, life-giving/life-changing confrontations direct from God’s Word.

Youth Mission Trip, Student Life Mission at Ridgecrest Conference Center

The CBC Youth Mission Trip will be part of the Student Life Mission at Ridgecrest Conference Center, North Carolina. The students will be sent out to serve in many capacities in the surrounding Black Mountain and Asheville areas. The students will be moved outside their comfort zone with meaningful local community service opportunities like: neighborhood kid’s camps, community projects, landscaping and painting, serving the elderly, and more.
