Precept Study: James – A Faith That Is Real

Want to dive deeper into Scripture? Learn to cultivate the skills of observation, interpretation, and application – and become an active participant in God’s Word! Kay Arthur’s exciting, practical approach to the Scriptures has influenced thousands to use the Inductive Bible Study Method in their personal studies and to discover truth for themselves. The studies use a systematic approach that includes keywords, context studies, comparisons and contrasts, topical studies, and more.

Beginning January 10: Precept Study on Numbers: Trusting God in the Wilderness. When the Israelites cried out to God, He raised up Moses to bring them out of slavery and into the Promised Land. But the people rebelled and suffered the terrible consequence of wandering in a wilderness. Are you following the Lord to the place He wants you to be? Led by Heather Fisher, the group meets on Wednesdays, at 6:00 PM in room S127. Cost: $18.

W.I.S.E. Study

W.I.S.E. (Women In Search of Encouragement)  meets Wednesdays at 6:00 PM in room S124. This study focuses on fellowship and encouragement from God’s Word and will delve into Be Rich, a study on Ephesians, by Warren Wiersbe. Cost: $10.

Priscilla Shirer Study on Gideon.

(Ladies) Priscilla Shirer Study on Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted – facilitated by Jennifer Gay and Tonya Box. This this study will help you redefine interruption and see that your interruptions are actually God’s invitation to do something beyond your wildest dreams. The group meets on Wednesdays, at 6:00 PM in room S129. Cost is $15.

Authentic Manhood – 33 the Series: A Man & His Traps.

(Men) Authentic Manhood- 33 the Series: A Man & His Traps. This study identifies the “traps” we often fall into and the “idols” we so often worship as men – things such as sexual temptation, the need for control, fear, and the search for significance.  We’ll learn to replace these temptations and struggles with God’s better promises for us. Come join us! Cost: $15

MORNING BIBLE STUDIES

Tuesday Bible Study

 

Held on campus offering childcare, beginning January 16, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

(Ladies) A Steadfast Love (by Laura Chandler) – led by Vicki Mullins. Learn to trust Jesus in each season of life. This study on Psalm 107 reminds us that each season of life is an opportunity to reveal the anchor of our souls. In this 7-session Bible study from Lauren Chandler, learn to face each season of life with courage and trust in Jesus, and discover how tests in our journeys of faith reveal the true condition of our hearts. For there is no fear for the one who fears the Lord, the one whose soul is anchored in His steadfast love. Cost $15.

Childcare is available by reservation only and the cost is $20 per family for the semester. Childcare reservations must be made by January 9. **(Register for Childcare.)**

Thursday Morning Bible Study

Held off campus (childcare NOT available), resuming January 11.

(Ladies) “What Would Jesus Say?(Ladies) The phrase “What Would Jesus Do” has permeated our society, but the greater question is “What Does Jesus Say?”  This study, led by LeAnn Allen, will be held at Becky Parrish’s house from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Cost is $15.
